What is Nexus?
Nexus is our debut skirmish game, designed with ease of access, player agency and competitive balance at its core. In nexus you command teams of up to 4 models in fast paced, diceless combat scenarios. Each character represents a fictional hero, or notable figure from history. You’ll be able to build teams around themes and aesthetics you adore, and clash them against others for a truly personalised experience.
Why Should I Play it?
Nexus is totally free to access the full experience. The digital rules are (and always will be) FREE and whilst we do have proprietary miniatures, which we sell…you don’t have to use them! Our ruleset is designed to allow you to represent your heroes with any models you choose.
What do I Need to Play?
Not much! A 2x2 foot area and a tape measure. Some wargaming terrain, or blocky bits of junk to mimic it, and some miniatures… if you don’t have miniatures, you can even use chess pieces. Finally each player will want a normal deck of playing cards and there’s some paper tokens to print, included with the rules pack.
So How Do I Start!?
That part is the easiest of all… just download the rules pack here then find a friend, and give it a go! The rules are still in their pre-release version right now, but that’s mostly just in how they’re presented and doesn’t affect gameplay.
We also maintain a live update sheet here, which you should check between version releases, for all the changes which will be added to the book for its next version! This will include Character Balance Updates, as well as tweaks or wording clarifications to the rules.
What Else Does Nexus Have to Offer?
Well, we’re currently in the creation process of our debut miniatures line, you can check out our blog for more information on those, or head over to our MMF store here to grab STL files for them. These miniatures are designed for Nexus, but we also bundle display painting versions in with them.
What the Heck is an STL file?
They’re 3D models designed for printing at home, using a resin 3D printer.
So You Don’t Do Physical Minis?
We are currently looking for a partner to offer physical versions of our minis, as soon as they’re available, we’ll be shouting about it!

Nexus: GridCrush is our super casual, super simple, super easy to get in to board game, designed to give you a taste of the FEEL of Nexus: Multiverse Wars, but with such a low investment that anyone can give it a try (even you non-wargamers!).
GridCrush plays on a chessboard and uses either miniatures OR chess pieces (totally your choice). Like it’s big brother, Multiverse Wars, GridCrush uses a diceless system and the entire ruleset is just a few pages of PDF.
Gridcrush is included in the Nexus Master Pack which is again, totally free!
